International Education Office
Welcome to the New Westminster School District Education Program. We are a multilingual, experienced team located on-site in New Westminster Secondary School. We are here to assist you! Each one of us has lived outside of Canada and understands the joys and challenges students encounter in a new environment. Students are welcome to drop by even just to say hello. Our door is always open. Together we say, “Welcome to New Westminster!”

From Vancouver, Sara has grown up on the Coast of British Columbia and calls New Westminster home. Sara’s first experience with International Education was at the age of 15 when she moved to Japan to attend high school and live with a local host family. It was an experience that forever changed her life and sparked a passion for building connections around the world. Her time in Japan inspired her to complete a degree in Pacific & Asian Studies at the University of Victoria. As the Marketing Manager, Sara supports our partners in Europe, North & South America as well as exploring new market opportunities. “I understand how important this program is for each student and their families and I feel so fortunate to be a part of each student’s experience here, in our program.”
